The requirements of this project were to design a removable sport top for a 2021 Toyota Supra Mach V. The design needed to stay true to the heritage of the Supra DNA, while still being modern and cutting edge. The panels needed to also be able to be modular to be kept in the trunk when not installed.

3D scan data of the interior and exterior was provided to Iterative3D, along with the desired cut-lines on the roof. The roof and headliner were reverse engineered to ensure all bodylines and details were replicated. From there, we designed the panels to split in 2 pieces, and be molded from carbon fiber. We also designed the welded sheetmetal supports, and created flat patterns to hand off to the fabricator.
